Learn about our partnerships, educational initiatives and operations built to support food accessibility in our communities.
Hunger relief is one of our top priorities, driven by our purpose to make lives better by making delicious food accessible for all. We are committed to fighting hunger through local partnerships, operations and education.
We partner with the schools in our communities and local nonprofits to promote STEM education and interest in manufacturing careers and how these career paths can help feed those in need.
In the past several years, we have also partnered with the Greater Twin Cities United Way to increase awareness of food insecurity among diverse communities and educate our employees and the community. We also support programs that equip students with the supplies and nutrition they need to be successful in school.
At Post Consumer Brands®, we prioritize our value products. For example, we offer the broadest range of value breakfast cereals that are affordable and delicious. Everyone should be able to enjoy a tasty meal regardless of their budget.
We take additional steps to ensure everyone can access the food they need. We produce breakfast cereal and other products for the CSFP (Commodity Supplemental Food Program), a federal program critical to fighting hunger. We are also proud to make various WIC-eligible products, a supplemental nutrition program for women, infants, and children in need.
Community partnerships are the foundation of our hunger relief efforts. Locally, we work with food banks, food access programs, and education efforts to strengthen communities and meet their needs, including children, people of color, and seniors who face increased hunger.
Nationally, we partner with Feeding America to distribute millions of pounds of food donations. In our Minnesota community, we work with Second Harvest Heartland to explore innovative ways to address food insecurity.
In times of disaster, we are committed to supporting affected communities. For example, when Hurricane Ida reached the Gulf Coast in 2021, we donated 100,000 servings of cereal to Feeding America to help those affected by the storm.
One in eight kids’ lives with hunger in the United States. In early 2023, we joined forces with General Mills, Kellogg’s, and Quaker, in partnership with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign, to raise awareness of this issue and donate over 300,000 meals.
